International conference, on energy landscape of complex structure, proteins and nucleic acids September 17-21 2014, Warsaw, Poland (organized by Biophysical Society) Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce the call for abstracts (talks and posters) for: Significance of Knotted Structures for Function of Proteins and Nucleic Acids meeting that will be held September 17-21, 2014, in Warsaw, Poland. http://www.biophysics.org/2014warsaw/Home/tabid/4578/Default.aspx Submit your abstract today to be included in this exciting program! The deadline to submit a late abstract is June 9. This meeting will focus on energy landscape of proteins and nucleic acids. Special attention will be given to understand entanglement and its role for functions of biomolecules. The conference will explore such topics as: Structure of Proteins; Energy Landscape of Biomolecules; Evolution Approach to Proteins, RNA; Mathematical Perspectives on Knotting; Mechanical properties of proteins and DNA; RNA Dynamics; DNA-Protein Interactions; DNA Topology and Topoisomerase; DNA Knots and Viral Topology Capsids. Confirmed invited speakers include: Ada Yonath (Nobel prize 2009), Jane Clarke, Alexey Murzin, Robert Jernigan, Sophie Jackson, Peter Wolynes, Shoji Takada, Alexander Grosberg, Andrzej Kolinski, Michael Woodside, Hongbin Li, Piotr Szymczak, Marek Cieplak, Dave Thirumalai, Dorothy Buck, Tony Maxwell, Stephen Levene, Marek Cieplak, Phoebe Rice, Anjum Ansari, Tamar Schlick, Giovanni Dietler, Juli Feigon, Todd Yeates, Ebbe Andersen, Remus Dame, Peter Virnau, Wladek Minor, Ken Millett, Stuart Whittington, Janusz Bujnicki, Joanna Trylska, Patricia Jennings, Andrzej Stasiak, Eric Rawdon, Mariel Vazquez, John Maddocks, Tetsuo Deguchi, De Witt Sumners Additional short talks will be selected from abstracts submitted.
