General information
The present conference will be the seventh in the series "Current Trends in Theoretical Chemistry".
The previous six meetings took place in 1984, 1987, 1990, 2002, 2008, and 2013.
The conference is organized by K. Guminski Department of Theoretical Chemistry and
Department of Computational Methods in Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University. The conference will be held in Krakow.
It is scheduled for 4-8 September 2016.
Conference web-page: http://www2.chemia.uj.edu.pl/cttc7/

Scope
The conference will cover various aspects of quantum chemistry, starting from recent
methodological developments to applications.

The main topics of the conference include
- Electron Correlation
- Density Functional Theory (DFT)
- Time-Dependent DFT
- Low Order Scaling SCF Methods
- Molecular Response Properties
- Molecular Dynamics
- Modeling Catalytic Processes
- Modeling Biological Systems

Venue
Krakow has a long historical tradition of culture and science.
Its old centre is on the UNESCO List of World Heritage.
The Tatra Mountains and the salt mine in Wieliczka are other places
in the region that would be worth visiting. All these tourist attractions
make Krakow one of the favourite destinations in Europe.
The Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364, is the oldest one in this part of Europe
(Nicolas Copernicus was one of its students). Its ancient buildings, dating back to
the 14th century, accommodate the University Museum.
The conference site will be the Faculty of Chemistry building, Ingardena 3.
