Subject: 20.05.11 Joint ICTP-IAEA Workshop on Radiation Damage in Nuclear Systems, Trieste, Italy
This Workshop will be held at the Abdus Salam International Centre
for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy from 11 - 22 May 2020. It
assists Ph.D. students and early-career researchers in developing a
quantitative understanding of the impact of radiation damage on materials,
both for existing fission and proposed fusion reactors. There is an
emphasis on the conceptual progression of theoretical and experimental
techniques across spatial scales from atomistic descriptions to the
macroscopic behaviour of bulk material.

More information is available at https://www-amdis.org/workshops/ictp-2020
and on the event poster at http://indico.ictp.it/event/9088/material/poster/0.pdf (PDF, 1.9 MB).
Registration, application and submission of abstracts for participation
are made through the ICTP website at http://indico.ictp.it/event/9088/.

The event also provides opportunities on networking and knowledge-transfer
between researchers from developed and developing countries; the Workshop
is organized in collaboration with the IAEA, and financial support for
participants from developing countries may be granted. The deadline for
participation applications is 14 January 2020. There is no registration
fee.
