<pre>The Bioinformatics Program and the Department of Molecular Biosciences at
the University of Kansas offer Ph.D training in Bioinformatics and 
Computational Biology. The University of Kansas has world-class credintials
in Bioinformatics, computational biology, life sciences, and information
technology and actively engages in community-wide activities in related
disciplines.  The Bioinformatics faculty members are recognized leaders
in thier field.  For more information, see Bioinformatics Program /

Department of Molecular Biosciences (<a href="http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu" target="_blank">http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu</a>)
also has PhD programs in Genetics, Molecular, Cellular, and Developemental
Biology, Biochemistry/Biophysics and Microbiology. These programs 
complement on-going efforts to expand the life sciences at The University
of Kansas (<a href="http://www.ku.edu" target="_blank">http://www.ku.edu</a>)

The successful applicants will enter the Biochemistry/Biophysics program
in the Department of Molecular Biosciences and later transfer to the 
Bioinformatics graduate program upon its approval.
