Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company focused on

discovery platform. Currently, our Princeton, New Jersey location is
seeking candidates for the following position.

Software Engineer

This position is responsible for custom software development to support
scientific applications in a large drug discovery organization.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Design, development,
testing, implementation and documentation of C# and PL/SQL application
modules. In addition to tactical activities, the successful candidate will
have the opportunity to develop informatics strategy and standards. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or advanced in a related scientific or technology 
discipline. Candidates with a degree in Chemistry are preferred.
Minimum of four (4) years as a software developer in a corporate 
environment 
Demonstrated experience with the following: ASP.NET and C#; 
Visual Studio.NET; Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; HTML/DHTML; XML; JavaScript. 
Strong C# and PL/SQL programming skills are absolutely required 
Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required: 
Barcode Scanners and Printers; Analytical Chemistry devices
(LCMS, NMR, HPLC); laboratory robotics 
Experience with software from Accelrys or MDL 
Excellent communication and organization skills 
Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment 
Proven experience to deliver IT solutions according to projects plans and 
assigned priorities 
Ability to work in a multi-project environment
