Subject: 08.05.07 Postdoc, Chemoinformatics and computer-aided drug design in Florida, USA
Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies is seeking a Postdoctoral
Research Fellow in the area of computer-aided drug design and
chemoinformatics.  The research is conducted in an inter-disciplinary
environment with several ongoing collaborations with experimental
groups.  Job responsibilities include docking simulations of active
compounds and structure-based and similarity-based virtual screening of
compound databases.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field and
experience in two or more of the following areas: docking, homology
modeling, molecular dynamics, structure-based virtual screening,
pharmacophore modeling, QSAR, chemoinformatics.  Experience with molecular
modeling packages is required.  Programming and scripting abilities and/or
experience with programs such as MatLab is highly desirable.  Knowledge
of chemoinformatics tools is a plus.
