Subject: 08.09.04 Post-Doc Position Computational Chemistry at ENSCP, Paris, F
A 12 months post-doctoral position is opening at the Ecole Nationale
Superieure de Chimie de Paris (Paris, France) in the group of
Prof. Carlo Adamo.
The successful candidate will work on the ab-initio modeling of excited state
and magnetic properties in photomagnetic molecular systems (PMMDs) within
the framework of the French ANR project NEXUS. Within this project, he/she
will firstly deal with the theoretical characterization of parent
photochemical molecular devices (PMDs) applying standard Density Functional
Theory (for ground state properties) and Time Dependent DFT (for the excited
 state) based methods.
Next, in order to study the magnetic coupling within PMMDs, implementation
of methods in locally available quantum-chemistry codes is planned.
As a consequence, good programming skills (Fortran and/or C) are required.
A good knowledge of DFT and TD-DFT and previous experience in their
application to large organometallic systems is compulsory. Previous
experience with post-HF methods and/or in the modeling of photochemical
or magnetic molecular systems will be considered as a plus.
