Subject: 09.10.16 Software Engineer/Molecular Graphics New York, NY or Portland, OR
Schrodinger, a technology leader specializing in software solutions for 
life science research and development, is looking for an experienced 
software engineer to design, develop, and maintain our graphical user 
interface, graphical molecular display, and related visualization tools. 
Development is on Linux and Windows. Current software development 
involves C++, C, Qt, and OpenGL.

Requirements:

- Strong proven experience in graphical user interface design and 
development, C++, and object-oriented software design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a distributed work 
environment 

Strongly Preferred:

- Commercial software development experience
- Advanced knowledge of bioinformatics or computational chemistry methods 
(advanced degree in computational chemistry or equivalent)
- BS/MS in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent 
experience
- Development experience with Qt is strongly preferred
- Strong interest in scientific GUI development
