From: jobs at ccl.net (do not send your application there!!!) To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Tue Oct 20 06:42:19 2009 Subject: 09.10.20 Two postdoctoral positions, DFT and QM/MM modeling of zeolites, Prague, Czech Republic Two postdoctoral positions are available in the group of Dr. Stepan Sklenak at the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague, Czech Republic. The postdoctoral fellows will use periodic DFT and QM/MM approaches to model the structure, reactivity, catalytic activity and properties of zeolite based materials. The scientific work will be done in a close collaboration with experimentalists. The positions require a strong scientific background in either computational (applied quantum) chemistry (experience with QM/MM and ONIOM approaches is a plus) or solid state physics (experience with periodic DFT approaches for studying crystalline solids is a plus). The applicant must hold a PhD. degree in chemistry or physics. Interested individuals should send an e-mail containing their CV, brief summary of previous research, list of publications and names plus e-mail addresses of 1 - 2 references. The positions are initially for 1 year with a possibility of an extension. The J. Heyrovsky Institute is located in the beautiful and safe city of Prague (the capital of the Czech Republic).
