Material Research Department in Toyota Research Institute of North America
(TRI-NA) invites applicants for position as a contract researcher in the 
field of molecular and ab-initio modeling, primarily for battery and other
 energy storage systems. TRI-NA, located in Ann Arbor, MI, provides 
state-of-the-art computational facilities in multi-disciplinary areas in 
material science and technology.       

 The successful candidate for this position must have:

o	A PhD with exceptional experience in first-principle calculations, 
        cluster expansion   methods, Monte-Carlo methods and/or molecular 
        dynamics calculations. Candidate is expected to use molecular 
        simulation techniques to study potential of new battery materials.
 
o	Experience in popular molecular and ab-initio simulation codes 
        such as VASP, quantum espresso, ADF, Wein-2K, etc is necessary. 
     
o	The position requires staying abreast of emerging battery research,
        performing original research; publishing/presenting results, 
        involve in collaborative research with experimentalists and also 
        develop new calculation techniques. Candidate must be able to work
        effectively with a diverse group of scientists.

This full-time position is based on renewable yearly contract. Applicants
