Schrodinger, a technology leader specializing in software solutions for materials and life science research and development, is seeking a computational chemist in its Cambridge, UK office to provide technical support to clients using our computer-aided drug design and materials science products.

The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction with our drug design and materials software through telephone and email discussions about scientific issues and performance; logging and tracking of problems and enhancement requests; writing custom Python scripts for customers; channeling customer feedback to the development team; helping to diagnose problems in software.

Qualifications:

  • Background in computational chemistry
  • Experience with pharmaceutical applications of molecular modeling software tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • A broad knowledge of molecular modeling theory and applications
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python preferred)
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Experience with customer support preferred
  • Multilingual fluency preferred
