A postdoctoral position is available at the group of prof. Pavel Hobza at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (http://www.uochb.cas.cz). The topic of the project is a development of efficient computational methods describing non-covalent interactions accurately. This is achieved by adding and parameterizing specific corrections to semiempirical and DFTB methods. It is an extension of our previous successful work in this field. The project is led by Dr. Jan Rezac (http://www.molecular.cz/~rezac). Position is for one year with possible extension. The candidate is supposed to have PhD degree in the field, experience in computational chemistry, at least basic programming skills and good spoken and written English. Experience in the following fields would be highly beneficial * calculations and theory of non-covalent interactions * experience with semiempirical/DFTB computational methods * development of computational methods/software * strong math skills Apply by e-mail to Dr. Jan Rezac, rezac(~)uochb.cas.cz (with CV attached)NOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!!
