Subject: 17.04.10 Computational Biophysics at the University of Maryland Baltimore
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the MacKerell lab at
the University of Maryland Baltimore. (http://mackerell.umaryland.edu) to pursue
research in computational biophysics, primarily via molecular dynamics-based
techniques including enhance sampling technologies. Successful candidates
will have a Ph.D. in biophysics, physical chemistry, computational chemistry or
closely related disciplines and have experience with computer simulations of
biological systems and in code development. We are especially interested in
candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: 1) Scientific
programming on high-performance computing platforms including GPUs,
2) Enhanced sampling methods applied to biomolecular systems, 3) Grand
Canonical methods, 4) Biomolecular force field development, and 5) Theoretical
organic chemistry. Annual compensation will be $47,000/yr or more depending
on experience plus benefits. Initial appointments will be for one year with the
possibility of renewal up to three years.
In order to apply, please send a CV to alex[]outerbanks.umaryland.edu.
