Subject: 17.05.22 Ph.D. and postdoctoral candidates for a computational study of electro-catalysts materials and reactions
The computational laboratory at the Department of Chemical Science at Ariel
University in Israel is seeking Ph.D. and postdoctoral candidates to
conduct a computational research of materials and reactions in the area of
surface catalysis for energy conversion in electrochemical applications
(fuel cells and generators). The candidate will join a well-established
enthusiastic group of scientists under the supervision of Prof. Haya
Kornweitz and will join our effort to explore the properties of transition
metal catalysts and support materials for fuel cell and for other
inorganic process. This research is expected to lead to fundamental
understanding of the reactions mechanism leading to practical and
theoretical application. Ariel University offers a collaborative research
environment and features state-of-the-art research facilities relevant to
the proposed position. A full competitive scholarship and subsidized
accommodation are offered to prospective candidates in this program.

Required Qualifications: A successful PhD degree (postdoctoral candidates)
or M.Sc. (Ph.D. students), in Chemistry or Chemical Physics or Physics
with good journal publications record (for postdocs). Preferred
Computational study of electro-catalysts materials and reactions
Qualifications: former studies and experience in computational chemistry,
especially in using G09 and/or VASP and other relevant software.
