The Francis Crick Institute (the Crick) is a world class scientific discovery institute. Our scientists aim to carry out creative and ambitious research investigating fundamental questions of biology relevant to human health and disease. The Crick is a consortium of six of the UKs most successful scientific and academic organisations - the Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, the Wellcome Trust, UCL, Imperial College London and Kings College London. This breadth of research experience allows our scientists to address major problems using a wide variety of approaches from disciplines including biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and engineering. The Crick has a multinational outlook, and is proud to be a diverse, open and international institute, with staff and students from over 70 countries. Motivated and talented graduates with backgrounds in biological or medical sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics and/or computer science are invited to apply. A number of projects will provide the opportunity to undertake multi-disciplinary research carried out between the Crick and a partner University. Crick students will benefit from well-resourced research labs and state-of-the-art science technology platforms, excellent scientific and transferable skills training, and a supportive and stimulating research environment. They will register at one of the Crick partner universities (Imperial, Kings, or UCL) and receive a non-taxable annual stipend of 22,000 plus payment of tuition fees.
