Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position that is available at Rutgers University (New Brunswick), Department of Chemical Engineering. The project is focused on modeling of phase transitions, nucleation and mixing at trans-critical conditions with application to combustion. Academic Qualifications: X PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field (Chemistry, Physics...) X Solid background in thermodynamics, phase behaviour, and transport. X Experience in classical molecular dynamics and knowledge of simulation software is a must (LAMMPS and/or Gromacs preferred); experience in non-equilibrium MD and large scale simulations is a plus X Solid programming skills required; proficiency in scripting languages is a plus. X Good communication skills (spoken English, proven record of scientific writing) X Background and experience in equations of state and/or Monte Carlo simulations of phase equilibria is a plus This vacancy is for 1 year with a possible extension to up to 3 years depending on the availability of funds. Estimated starting date is Jan 15 2018.
