Subject: 17.12.12 Postdoctoral position in computational (bio)chemistry
Description: a postdoctoral position is available immediately in the group
of theoretical physical chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln,
Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (Lincoln, USA).

Candidate: a PhD in (bio)chemistry, (bio)physics, theoretical/computational
chemical physics or related disciplines is required

The research requires application of biomolecular simulations through
high-performance computing to understand reactivity of biological systems
relevant to immune response and cancer therapy. The focus is on the development
of fundamental understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying protein/ligand recognition and selectivity.

The position requires most of the following:
Strong background in biomolecular modeling, multiscale methods combining quantum mechanics with classical molecular mechanics (QM/MM), enhanced sampling methods and free energy calculations
	Demonstrated record of research productivity
	Experience with high-performance computing
Experience in using major quantum-chemical/biomolecular simulation packages (NWChem, Quantum ESPRESSO, GROMACS, CASTEP, etc.)
Experience in programming/scripting in Linux/Unix environment is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
