Description: a postdoctoral position is available immediately in the group of theoretical physical chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (Lincoln, USA). Candidate: a PhD in (bio)chemistry, (bio)physics, theoretical/computational chemical physics or related disciplines is required The research requires application of biomolecular simulations through high-performance computing to understand reactivity of biological systems relevant to immune response and cancer therapy. The focus is on the development of fundamental understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying protein/ligand recognition and selectivity. The position requires most of the following: Strong background in biomolecular modeling, multiscale methods combining quantum mechanics with classical molecular mechanics (QM/MM), enhanced sampling methods and free energy calculations Demonstrated record of research productivity Experience with high-performance computing Experience in using major quantum-chemical/biomolecular simulation packages (NWChem, Quantum ESPRESSO, GROMACS, CASTEP, etc.) Experience in programming/scripting in Linux/Unix environment is a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills
