To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Wed Feb 14 03:20:51 2018 Subject: 18.02.13 Postdoc in Simulations of Organic Materials for Battery Applications, DTU Energy, Denmark The Section for Atomic Scale Modelling and Materials at DTU Energy, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), is looking for outstanding candidates for a 2-year postdoc position in simulations of organic materials for battery applications. Responsibilities and tasks: You will strengthen our research activities in computational studies of organic/polymer materials used in both electrode and electrolyte components of batteries. The focus will be on modelling of morphologies as well as electrochemical and charge transport properties in those materials using a wide range of computational tools using both classical and quantum methods (MD, DFT, QM/MM). The primary task will be to develop computational protocols and apply them to study properties of conducting redox-active polymers for Mg-ion batteries and polymeric electrolytes based on ionic liquids. Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree in chemistry, physics or materials science. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in at least one of the following topics: - Molecular dynamics and/or Monte Carlo simulations of polymers - DFT-level modelling of organic materials for energy storage and conversion - Multiscale simulations of molecular materials in complex disordered environments In addition, you: - are innovative and able to work both independently and in cross-disciplinary teams - have good communication skills in English, both written and spoken - are able to work independently and take responsibility for the progress and quality of projects.
