The project involves functional protein design and protein engineering. The candidate will develop computational and biochemical methods to design new protein sequences of novel biological functions (e.g. enzyme activity, ligand binding, and protein-protein interactions). Special attentions will be paid to designing new proteins targeting pathways of various diseases including cancer and obesity. Candidates with experience in protein design and protein engineering, structural biology (X-ray crystallography, NMR, Cryo-EM), and/or computational biology are encouraged to apply. Skills in computational programming are not required but will be a plus to the position.
