Subject: 19.04.16 Postdoc position in computational chemistry, Prague, Czech Republic
A postdoctoral position is available at the group of prof. Pavel Hobza
at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry,
Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (http://www.uochb.cas.cz),
one of the top research institutions in the country.

The topic of the project is a development of next-generation semiempirical QM methods
able to describe non-covalent interactions accurately. The work may include building
data sets of benchmark results, implementing the parametrization protocol
and performing the parametrization of the developed method. It is an extension
of our previous successful work in this field.
The project is led by Dr. Jan Rezac (http://www.molecular.cz/~rezac). 

The candidate is supposed to have PhD degree in the field,
experience in computational chemistry, at least basic programming skills
and good spoken and written English.

Experience in the following fields would be highly beneficial
* development of computational methods/software
* experience with semiempirical computational methods
* calculations and theory of non-covalent interactions
* strong math skills

We offer a contract for one year with possible extension. Position opens in June/July 2019.
