Subject: 19.11.04 PhD, Development of Atomic-Scale Predictive Modelling Tools, Ireland
Our group develops and applies predictive modelling tools at the cutting edge of
nanoscale materials design, ranging from quantum mechanical models of organic crystals
to molecular dynamics models of multi-protein complexes.

The current PhD project is for a highly motivated person who has or expects to graduate
with a good honours degree in chemistry, physics or related field. Preference will be
given to candidates with strong interest in computer modelling of biological and
bio-inspired systems.

The successful candidate will join a strong interdisciplinary team of PhD students and
postdocs, and will work directly with theory, experiment, and industry partners in the
world-leading Science Foundation Ireland national research centre in pharmaceuticals
(Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre, SSPC) at the University of Limerick
in Ireland.
