Our group develops and applies predictive modelling tools at the cutting edge of nanoscale materials design, ranging from quantum mechanical models of organic crystals to molecular dynamics models of multi-protein complexes. The current PhD project is for a highly motivated person who has or expects to graduate with a good honours degree in chemistry, physics or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with strong interest in computer modelling of biological and bio-inspired systems. The successful candidate will join a strong interdisciplinary team of PhD students and postdocs, and will work directly with theory, experiment, and industry partners in the world-leading Science Foundation Ireland national research centre in pharmaceuticals (Synthesis and Solid State Pharmaceutical Centre, SSPC) at the University of Limerick in Ireland.
