From: jobs at ccl.net (do not send your application there!!!) To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Fri Jan 1 00:35:15 2021 Subject: 21.01.01 Postdoc/RA/PhD positions in computational chemistry/biology, CUHK-Shenzhen Several research positions (postdoc, research assistant, PhD student) are available in the Hirao group at the School of Life and Health Sciences and the Warshel Institute for Computational Biology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. We are interested in the development and application of computational chemistry and computational biology methods for studying chemical reactions and molecular interactions, especially those related to enzyme catalysis, drug design, bioinorganic chemistry, synthetic catalysts, and porous materials. Computational chemistry methods such as DFT, ab initio quantum chemistry, molecular mechanics, MD, QM/MM, and docking will be applied or developed, while integrating these methods with machine learning and other techniques. The ideal candidate for the positions will have experience, expertise, and solid knowledge in some of the following areas: - computational chemistry - computational biology - machine learning - electronic structure theory - free energy calculations - programming/scripting - method development Enthusiastic researchers/students from diverse backgrounds (computational chemistry, computational biology, theoretical chemistry, physics, computer science, etc.) are welcome to apply. Interested applicants may send a cover letter (explaining at least research interest, skills/experience, and the earliest possible start date) and CV by e-mail to Prof. Hajime Hirao (hirao++cuhk.edu.cn).NOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!! All @ signs were changed to ++ to fight spam. Before you send e-mail, you need to change ++ to @ For example: change joe++big123comp.com to joe@big123comp.com Please let your prospective employer know that you learned about the job from the Computational Chemistry List Job Listing at http://www.ccl.net/jobs. If you are not interested in this particular position yourself, pass it to someone who might be -- some day they may return the favor. |
