Institute of Natural Sciences (INS https://ins.sjtu.edu.cn/) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) invites applications for open-rank faculty positions in the area of Computational Chemistry with a clear emphasis on drug design or machine learning. The Institute of Natural Sciences was officially established in 2010. It aims at breaking down the traditional barriers of individual disciplines by setting a high standard for creating a first-rate research environment ideally conducive for interdisciplinary research. The current research of INS mainly covers applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, soft matter physics, biophysics, and computational chemistry. The INS will offer an extensive collaborative framework with a large academic and industrial community. The new faculty member will have access to the university-run super-computing resource (https://hpc.sjtu.edu.cn/Item/Hardware.htm), collaborative opportunities with School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at SJTU, and numerous industry funding opportunities from Chinese companies of a household name in the field of artificial intelligence, telecommunication, and pharmaceuticals, which have established strong and steady collaboration with INS. The successful candidate will be granted with globally competitive startup funding and salary.
