Subject: 21.06.15 Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computational Chemistry at Michigan Technological University
A position for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Computational Chemistry is available in the group of Dr. Tatyana Karabencheva-Christova in the Department of Chemistry at Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Michigan 
for up to 2 years. An extension of the position may be possible depending upon mutual agreement, performance, and availability of funding.   

The research project will be focused on the investigation of reaction mechanisms of metal-containing enzymes such as non-heme Fe(II)-containing enzymes, Cu-containing enzymes, and Zn (II) - dependent matrix metalloproteinases. 

The applicant should have a Ph.D. and demonstrated strong expertise in:
1)	QM/MM modeling of enzyme-catalyzed reaction mechanisms using ChemShell 
A nd/or
2)	QM/MM MD (umbrella sampling or metadynamics) simulations of metal-containing enzymes using CP2K.
