Subject: 21.08.05 Postdoc position, simulations of exciton condensation in bilayers, TAU, Israel and UCSB, USA
The groups of Barak Hirshberg at Tel Aviv University (TAU)
and Vojtech Vlcek at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB)
have an open Postdoc position funded by the USA - Israel
Binational Science Foundation (BSF) for two years.

The project will involve developing a new computational framework
for describing exciton condensation in twisted bilayers of
two-dimensional materials, combining stochastic electronic structure
methods with bosonic path integral molecular dynamics.

Experience in developing and/or applying electronic structure methods,
molecular dynamics simulations or path integral simulations is a plus.

The deadline for application is Oct. 1st, 2020, but we encourage
suitable candidates to contact the two PIs as soon as possible.
The position will be in Tel Aviv with extended stays in Santa Barbara.

To apply, please send a cover letter, CV, and a list of publications to
hirshb _ tauex.tau.ac.il and vlcek _ ucsb.edu.
Two recommendation letters should be sent directly to the PIs as well.

Outstanding candidates will also be supported in their application
for the prestigious Zuckerman, Azrieli, or Sackler fellowships:

1) Sackler: https://bit.ly/3yjRJMe
2) Azrieli: https://bit.ly/3lkhA34
