To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Thu Dec 1 07:25:20 2022 Subject: 22.12.01 Ph.D. position in Computation Chemistry and materials Ph.D. position in Computation Chemistry and materials: The computational laboratory at the Department of Chemical Science at Ariel University in Israel, led by Prof. Dr. Haya Kornweitz, is looking for a Ph.D. student to conduct computational research in surface catalysis, nanoparticles, and fuel cells. The candidate will join a well-established enthusiastic group of scientists that is focused on a theoretical understanding and practical application of catalytic processes. The research is interdisciplinary and is done in collaboration with experimentalists. Ariel University offers a collaborative research environment and features state-of-the-art in-site computer facilities, including HPC. A full competitive scholarship for four years and subsidized accommodation are offered to prospective candidates in this program. Required Qualifications: * A successful M.Sc. degree (average score: 80), in Chemistry, Chemical Physics, or Material Sciences. * Former studies and experience in computational chemistry/materials and a first principal understanding. * Experience in solid-state computation (VASP or similar programs) and other relevant software. * A strong passion to gain new insight into science.
