This is a unique opportunity to join Amgen Research Copenhagen (ARC) site as a Postdoctoral fellow. Using our DNA-Encoded Library (DEL) technology, ARC contributes significantly to Amgen's many small-molecule drug discovery projects from hit discovery, all the way, to drug candidate selection. In this role, you will be developing and applying Virtual Screening methodologies to sharpen the power of DEL screening and associated technologies. You will be joining a thriving and scientifically diverse ecosystem, working with the world leaders in DEL technology and in close collaboration with experts in medicinal and parallel chemistry as well as biochemistry, biophysics and biology to tackle challenging Drug Discovery programs. You will also have the opportunity to write manuscripts, publish in leading journals, and present data in internal and external settings including oral and poster presentations at scientific conferences. You will be enrolled in the Amgen postdoc program and be part of the Amgen Research postdoc community interacting with fellow postdocs across our research organization. The postdoctoral fellow will: - Develop Virtual Screening methods enabling two-way synergy with the DEL screening technology - Apply DEL screening data insights to enhance virtual small molecule ligand discovery for specific targets - Explore new paradigms of fragment combination screening within synthetically feasible chemical space - Investigate the current capabilities of ligand-binding determination and define new standards and state-of-the-art workflows within the field The postdoctoral fellow will report to Scientific Director, and leader of the ARC Research Informatics group, Mads Noerregaard-Madsen (also co-mentor) and mentored by Research Scientist Loris Moretti, heading the Structural-Based Drug Discovery effort. The Scientist professional we seek is an innovative leader with these qualifications.
