It does background backups from which one can do partial or complete
restorations. It is also accessible by other computers (including
PC's), and it can serve as a wireless/wired router (or access point).

Folks, as I figure people reading this list
connect external drives to Macs (and to PC's and ...), I thought I'd ask
for recommendations re: a good backup drive for home use. I'm looking
for a 1Tb drive, which will hold movies, pictures, music, the normal
"life" stuff one accumulates. I would prefer a higher-speed
interface (FW 800, for example), but higher quality with FW 400 would be
acceptable.
Strong feelings either way would be helpful, as I'd welcome
things-to-avoid as well as things-to-consider...
Thanks in
advance!
