We start an electronic journal of scientific-technological spreading,
entitled Meeting in Science, Technology, Education and Gender, which will be
published in the Web of the Universitat de Valencia:

The journal accepts Articles, Letters, Reviews... without discrimination
of Languages. English and Latin Languages would speed the process.

For the journal the following thematic contents are planned:
1. Reach and limits of science and technology. Among the general contents,
students will learn to distinguish scientific information from that which is
not, basic rules of investigation, its contribution to la world
understanding,
but also its errors and limitations.
2. Our place in the Universe. The emergence of the Universe, the
formation of
the Earth and the emergence of life in it.
3. To live more, to live better. Health, the most common diseases, medical
advances and treatments, and the context of medical research. Major
diseases of
social impact associated with poverty. Translational studies.
4. Genetics. DNA, genetic engineering, cloning and bioethics.
Biotechnology and
Bioinformatics.
5. Sustainability. The human factor as cause of global warming and the
agreements to stop its effects.
6. New necessities. New materials, fuels and recycling.
7. Knowledge society. Internet and new technologies.
8. Chaotic phenomena. New tools to study complex realities.
9. Teaching–learning science and technology.
10. Gender perspectives in History and Sociology of Science (biographies,
trajectories and testimonies).
11. Diagnostic of the present incorporation and participation of women
in higher
education, science and technology.
12. Gender perspectives in Epistemology and Philosophy of Science.
13. Scientific representations of sex and gender.
14. Gender perspectives in science education.
15. New technologies and gender.
16. Gender and scientific-technological policies.
17. Diffusion of science and gender.
18. Gender, natural resources and development.
19. Traditional knowledge of women and science.
