            Software for regression models by Genetic Algorithms

            Dear Colleagues,

            We would like to inform you that MobyDigs is now available.

            MobyDigs is a software for the calculation of regression models using genetic algorithms for variable selection to obtain an optimal subset of predictive models developed by the Milano Chemometrics and QSAR Research Group.

            What you can do by MOBYDIGS

              a.. Obtain a set of optimal regression models by OLS starting from until 2000 candidate predictors, working with a multi-population approach

              b.. Calculate a single regression model by Ordinary Least Square regression (OLS)

              c.. Perform further validation of the final regression models

              d.. Add new objects and/or new variables to the previous data

              e.. Perform predictions of external data by using the obtained models

              f.. Get a final subset of modelling variables and use them for other purposes

              g.. Develop Principal Component Regression (PCR) models with PCs calculated on the final subset of modelling variables

              h.. Use extended diagnostic and graphic tools for analysing each regression model

              i.. Evaluate similarity/diversity among the final obtained models

              j.. Perform consensus analysis, i.e. evaluate average predictions from 2 or more final models

              k.. Variable analysis by powerful graphic tools and statistic parameters

              l.. Save any kind of results in tabbed text files

              m.. Build - automatically - a final report of your work, graphics included

            To evaluate MobyDigs, please follow the instructions below:

              1.. Download MobyDigs Evaluation version from http://www.talete.mi.it/download.htm

              2.. Launch the SetupMoby1.exe file to install MobyDigs Evaluation version and run MobyDigs

              3.. Six data sets will be automatically available allowing the user to perform any kind of evaluation

            From September 2004, you can upgrade your evaluation version into a purchased version by sending your order form to TALETE.

            In this case, please follow furtherly the instruction below:

              4.. Once ordered MobyDigs, you will receive a registration file

              5.. Register your purchased version copying the attached file with extension .mdg into the MobyDigs installation directory and run MobyDigs: the registration will be automatically performed.
