Objective
This hands-on workshop will introduce students to the principles and practice of microarray analysis. Upon completion, the participants will have a working knowledge of computational methods used in microarray analysis, including clustering, correlation analysis, principal component analysis, neural networks and advanced microarray analysis. Participants will be able to use readily available software tools to facilitate their analysis or design of microarrays. SPEAKER: DR. DAVID WISHART Professor, Computing Science University
of Alberta Dr. Wishart is a Professor of Computing Science at the University of Alberta. He currently holds the Bristol-Myers Squibb Chair in Protein Chemistry and in 2003 was cross-appointed as research scientist with the NRC's National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT). |
