Bill Ross The bionet news hierarchy is available by email, but I can't find the info on how to subscribe. Try a question to biosci&$at$&genbank.bio.net I am appending a list of the bionet groups. There are other news hierarchies of interest as well, e.g. sci.xxx, comp.xxx etc. By far the easier way to browse the info that such groups could fill your mailbox with is with a newsreader. Consult your site manager on the availability of Usenet news and newsreaders at your site. For an introduction to Usenet and Internet services in general, Zen and the Art of the Internet is very well written and is available at lots of anonymous ftp sites - info appended further below.
