need help on "cross-correlated"

Dear CCLers:
      I have a question: how to do the
 "cross-correlated" analysis when a set of experimental
 values are regressed again the calculated descriptors
 to generate a model with regression coefficients?
      Could you introduce some reference articles on
 "cross-correlated" to me?
