CCL: LINUX system problem

 Dear Ulrike,
 this smells like defective RAM. You can test it with e.g. memtest86
 ( http://www.memtest86.com/ ). You can also use a Knoppix CD
 if you
 have one laying around; just type "memtest" on the boot screen.
 The fans are also worth checking; Sometimes they fail, sometimes they
 get blocked by something.
