212. DECON: For Removing the Broadening of Spectra Due to Instrumental Effects

by Peter A. Jansson, E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., Wilmington, Delaware 19898

This is a FORTRAN IV subroutine which operates on digitized spectral data to remove broadening and blurring describable by a convolution integral. DECON uses constraints to ensure that the solution stays within physical bounds. These constraints enable better resolution, fewer spurious peaks, and results generally superior to unconstrained deconvolution methods.
