168. PARACT: Rate Constant Calculations from Differential Scanning Calorimetric Thermograms by the Bernoulli Equation

by Robert W. Crossley and Ernest A Dorko, Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio 45433

This program accepts arbitrary coordinates from the trace of heating rate versus time obtained from a differential scanning calorimeter operated in the isothermal mode and computes the rate constants for an autocatalytic mechanism at specified time intervals. In addition, the program computes the slope of the reactant fraction versus time curve and such parameters as the heat of reaction and the point of maximum reaction.
