78. GF MATRIX: Secular Determinant Solution in Normal Coordinate Analysis

by J. A. Slezak and S. C. Wait, Jr., College of St. Rose, Albany, New York 12263

Two complete programs, primarily for normal coordinate work on small computers. Part A forms the secular determinant from the given elements of the G and F matrices and solves for the frequencies of vibration and normal coordinate transformation vectors. Part B solves a system of linear equations and is used to allow the user to refine his force constants.
