646. POCKETT: Programs Used for Locating and Manipulating Pockets or Holes in Proteins

by David Levitt, Department of Physiology, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55455

This system consists of three programs as described below:

1. pdbtolev--This program takes a standard pdb file and converts it to a form which can be used by either of the following two programs.

2. pock--This is the program which finds pockets or holes in a protein. It is an interactive program which helps the user develop the proper execution through a series of questions.

3. fit--This program is used after the desired contour and "hit" residues have been selected in _pock_. Input relating to the "old structure" is required, as you will be able to view the new versus the old. This program offers the opportunity for graphically viewing the structure and also permits viewing with "Crystall Eyes" polarizing glasses.

Lines of Code: 3607 Silicon Graphics C compiler with GL graphics
