                     ************************

This version of VADAR is a beta test version. A final version
of VADAR is expected to appear in the next couple of months.

                     ************************

Users interested in acquiring a SUN compatible version of VADAR
(including the executable code for all programs, libraries,
databases, and documents) should ftp the following:
    VADAR.SUN.tar.Z

Users interested in acquiring an SGI compatible version of VADAR
(including the executable code for all programs, libraries,
databases, and documents) should ftp the following:
    VADAR.SGI.tar.Z

Once you have uncompressed and untarred VADAR, refer to the README
file for installation instructions.

FOR THOSE WANTING VADAR SOURCE CODE:

In order to better control and document the distribution of the
source code to VADAR we now require that interested parties send a
written request to one of the following:
    E-mail: vadar@procyon.biochem.ualberta.ca
    Snail-mail: VADAR c/o PENCE
                 7-13 HMRC
                 University of Alberta
                 Edmonton, AB
                 T6G 2S2
You will be sent a VADAR Software Utilization Agreement which must
be completed and signed and returned to the above address, or faxed
to (403) 492-1473.

In this way we believe we can best help those individuals interested in
converting VADAR to other platforms, in making additions or
modifications to the VADAR subroutines or in developing some
other aspect of VADAR.

Requests will be processed as soon as possible and the source code
will be sent out electronically. Tapes containing the VADAR
source code can be also sent if they are provided by the requestor
or if a cheque for $60.00 (Canadian) is mailed to the address above.
