From: jobs at ccl.net (do not send your application there!!!) To: jobs at ccl.net Date: Tue Sep 12 18:14:14 2023 Subject: 23.09.12 Postdoc position in dissipative polariton dynamics at University of Delaware (USA) One postdoctoral position is available in the Kananenka group at University of Delaware, USA (https://sites.udel.edu/akanane/). The project focuses on developing new theoretical and computational methods to elucidate the effects of dissipative environment on the properties of hybrid light-matter states so-called polaritons. The project will involve quantum, quantum-classical, and/or semiclassical dynamics simulations of molecular systems coupled to quantized radiation field of a cavity. The work will be performed in a collaboration with experimental groups. The initial appointment will be for one year with a possibility of extension. Requirements The candidates must hold or are about to receive a PhD degree in Computational Physics or Chemistry. Candidates with strong background in quantum, quantum-classical, and/or semiclassical dynamics, quantum chemistry calculations, open quantum systems, and programming (at least Python) are particularly encouraged to apply. About University of Delaware The University of Delaware is an R1 (very high research activity) university located in Newark, Delaware on the East coast of the US with easy access to major metropolitan areas including Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and New York City as well as Delaware beaches. Deadline The position is available immediately. The search will continue until the position is filled. Interested applicants are encouraged to send a brief letter of introduction and a CV with a list of publications to Prof. Alexei Kananenka (email: akanane!=!udel.edu).NOTE THAT E-MAIL ADDRESSES HAVE BEEN MODIFIED!!! All @ signs were changed to !=! to fight spam. Before you send e-mail, you need to change !=! to @ For example: change joe!=!big123comp.com to joe@big123comp.com Please let your prospective employer know that you learned about the job from the Computational Chemistry List Job Listing at http://www.ccl.net/jobs. If you are not interested in this particular position yourself, pass it to someone who might be -- some day they may return the favor. |
