A few postdoc positions are available at Okayama University for individuals interested in 
multi-scale molecular modeling and molecular simulations of soft materials. Two specific 
topics are 1. Simulating and designing polymer electrolytes for the Li-ion battery and 
2. Simulating lipid nanoparticles containing siRNA or mRNA for drug delivery purposes. 
Candidates will contribute to the molecular modeling of these systems and investigate 
molecular dynamics. This research group (Theoretical and Computational Chemistry, 
Prof. Wataru Shinoda) is involved in a broad range of projects in applying 
molecular simulations to biological and soft material problems.

The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree, strong molecular simulation skills, experience 
in molecular modeling, and, preferably, broad knowledge of 1. ionic liquids or polymer 
electrolytes or 2. lipid membranes or lipid nanoparticles.
