Computational Chemist/Programmer

Computational Chemist/Programmer

We are seeking a motivated scientist to become an integral part
of our computational chemistry group. The individual will be part
of a team of scientists responsible for developing and
implementing methods towards a strategy for improved virtual
screening in BMS’ grid computing environment. This is one of
largest grid implementations in the pharmaceutical industry. You
will also be responsible for developing methods to automate work
processes for hit identification and lead optimization.

Qualified Candidates must have a PhD in Chemistry, Computational
Chemistry or a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years’
pharmaceutical industry experience or post-doctoral training.
Familiarity with methods for computer aided drug design including
algorithms for conformer generation and virtual screening, and
Object Oriented Design (SQL a plus) are required. You must have
knowledge of quantum mechanics, C and C++ programming, and
scripting languages such as Perl and Python. Job Code:
